About Honeycomb Shades
Honeycomb shades have been around for more than three decades, and they continue to offer excellent privacy, insulation, and light control. They are made of soft and durable fabric, and are available in several pleat sizes, a wide range of colors and textures, and fabrics with opacities that range from sheer to opaque. Plus, they’re very energy-efficient—the shades trap air before it enters your room, keeping your house cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
This Year’s Improvements to Honeycomb Shades
Among other things, Hunter Douglas updated their line of Duette Honeycomb Shades with these great improvements:
- NEW UltraGlide® Wand – This child-safe, retractable cord system has a newly designed decorative wand/tassel that is refined to coordinate with the rail color and beautifully accent any décor
- NEW Honeycomb Shaped Headrail – The newly redesigned headrail now reflects the honeycomb fabric shape. This design allows the eye to follow the honeycomb design from the top of the shade to the bottom. Rails are textured and matte-finished and will color-coordinate with the shade fabric
- NEW Seamless Duolite™ Design – Duolite features two different fabrics for your single window opening. The top fabric panel will be sheer fabric that is fused together with a bottom fabric panel. The bottom panel may be semi-sheer, semi-opaque or opaque fabric. The Duolite feature offers a multitude of ways for you to manage your light and privacy needs
Duette Architella Honeycomb Shade Tax Credit
The Federal tax credits via the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015, which gave federal tax credits on select energy-efficient products, have been reinstated for 2016. We have Duette® Architella® honeycomb shades of certain sizes with qualifying fabrics and lifting systems that are inside-mounted over double-glazed windows that may qualify for this tax credit.
