Meet Designer Banded Shades
This is an unusual, beautiful treatment that combines the functionality of a roller shade with the elegance of a sheer and creates dimensions of light through movement. It’s a lot like getting two shades in one! There are two types of fabric—banded and sheer—that make up the shade. The banded portion is solid. To create dimension and change how the shade appears, just lift and lower either side of the shade so the bands overlap each other (which lets the sheer portion allow you to have view-through) or align with each other to create a solid shade that provides privacy, shuts out natural light, and controls UV rays.
