Windows Are Different—Their Requirements Are Too
Different shapes, different sizes, different sun intensity, different functions—each window in a home has different needs. For example, in the bedroom, you might want total darkness, while in a bathroom, you might focus more on privacy. Hunter Douglas offers window treatments that allow a consistent took throughout the home, but with different opacity and operating options. For example, with Duette® Honeycomb Shades, the backing is white to the outside; however, the front can be whatever color or fabric that fits the room’s décor.
- For total darkness, choose an opaque fabric.
- For privacy with some natural light, choose a semi-opaque fabric.
- In a room where you might want a view while still enjoying protection from harmful UV rays, choose a Duolite™ option with sheer fabric on top and semi-opaque fabric on bottom or Silhouette® A Deux™ window shadings.
- In a room where you might have a sliding glass door and a regular window, choose the Duette Vertiglide™ option for the sliding door and a standard shade for the regular window. Or select Skyline® Gliding Window Panels for your sliding door and Designer roller or screen shades for your horizontal windows in coordinating fabrics.
