PANTONE Peach Fuzz 13-1023

Few people can argue that we haven’t had some tumultuous times here in the United States and around the world. In response, the Pantone Color Institute offers a “heartfelt peach hue bringing a feeling of kindness and tenderness, communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration.” Peach Fuzz is a “gentle” peach with an “all-embracing spirit” that “enriches heart, mind, and body.” The company adds that it is “poetic and romantic…with a vintage vibe” and that it “has been refashioned with a contemporary ambiance.”

The Color of the Year Requires Thoughtful Consideration and Trend Analysis

To arrive at the selection each year, Pantone’s color experts at the Pantone Color Institute comb the world looking for new color inspirations. This may include new artists, fashion, all areas of design, and popular travel destinations, as well as new lifestyles and socio-economic conditions. Influences may also stem from new materials, textures, technologies, and effects that impact color. “Color is an equalizing lens through which we experience our natural and digital realities,” noted Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”

Using the Color of the Year in Your Home

Warm, soft, and cozy, Peach Fuzz will bring a welcoming aesthetic to your home. You can add it through paint color or home décor such as a fluffy throw pillow or blanket or in a more subtle accent within a pattern. Its comforting presence will add depth and light, enhancing your space with tactile luxury, giving it a sense of a cocoon. You can find hints of this color or complements to it in a variety of Hunter Douglas window fashions, including Silhouette® Sheer Shades, Pirouette® Sheer Shades, Designer Roller Shades, Modern Precious Metals® Blinds, and more.
