That’s why, for some inspiration, we’ve gathered a few of this year’s trending colors in interior design. Read on to learn more!

Trending Colors in Home Design

Interior design covers so many things, from walls to furniture to flooring to windows. And all of those elements can be impacted by color in one way or another. Looking to add just a little? Consider getting a few throw pillows in a new hue. Want to give your kitchen a new pop? Think about painting your cabinets. Looking to change the focal point of a room? Look into new window fashions. Whether you’re making over an entire room or decorating a brand-new home, consider these trendy colors for some great ideas:

  • Tinted Gray. These days, we’re seeing a move to add different tints to give it more life and personality. For example, you might find it tinted with purples, blues, or greens
  • Blues. For a happy medium, consider shades that are softer than navy and warmer than denim. Or go with a bolder hue—just be sure to balance it with neutral colors like white or gray in the room
  • Purples. We’re seeing more and more range from purple, from dusty lavender to pale lilac. As a base color or an accent, it can add great depth to a room
  • Dark Green. Especially if it offers hints of gray, darker green is definitely on trend
